After years of investigation and scandal surrounding the Reggie Bush and O.J. Mayo eras at the school, the University of Southern California has chosen to return Bush’s 2005 Heisman Trophy as well as other memorabilia from the 2 stars:

The Trojan family honors and respects the USC sporting careers of those persons whose actions did not compromise their athletic program or the opportunities of future USC student-athletes. Accordingly, I have instructed the senior vice president for administration to remove athletic jerseys and murals displayed in recognition of O.J. Mayo and Reggie Bush by mid-August — before the incoming class of students moves on campus — from Heritage Hall, the Galen Center and the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. The university also will return Mr. Bush’s 2005 Heisman Trophy to the Heisman Trophy Trust in August.

Chris Bosh, Lebron James, Dwayne Wade

2 major pieces of the NBA free agency puzzle will be joining together in South Beach as both Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh have agreed to play for the Miami Heat. While contract details have not become public, ESPN.com is reporting:

Both players are expected to get the maximum amount allowable under the league’s collective bargaining agreement, though the addition of James could change the players’ salaries. Contracts cannot be officially signed until July 8.

It was not immediately clear whether Bosh will sign with Miami outright or join the Heat through a sign-and-trade deal. Bosh could earn $125 million over six years via sign-and-trade, but only $96 million over five without it.

The hunt for Lebron James’ next home is still underway and going strong as the highly sought after free agent is expected to make an official announcement on during a 1-hour event on ESPN Thursday night at 9pm. Although the details have yet to be released, it has been suggested that James’ camp is looking to sell sponsorships during the 1 hour live event with all proceeds going to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

The reality show and NBA stars were married in September 2009, the ceremony aired on the E! channel which garnered some of the network’s highest ratings of all time.

Police were called to the set of VH1’s “Basketball Wives” reunion taping on Saturday in Los Angeles. According to RadarOnline.com, Suzie Ketcham, ex-girlfriend of NBA star Michael Olowokondi, was arrested after throwing bucket of water on another guest and causing extensive injuries.

Upon arriving on set for the live-to-tape event, the cast was told that a “surprise” guest would be arriving during filming. According to RadarOnline “That special guest was ‘Sandra’ — the infamous ‘groupie’ who had a drink thrown in her face during a fight with Ketcham on an episode of the premiere season.” This was not the first “water fight” between the 2 as seen in the clip below from Season 1:

Upon Sandra’s arrival on stage, Ketchum reportedly became enraged and stormed off the set only to return with a bucket of water which she proceeded to throw at Sandra. Trying to escape the attack, Sandra slipped in the water and fell so hard that authorities and paramedics were called to the scene. RadarOnline also reports…“As she [Sandra] was being taken off set, the first words out of her mouth were, ‘Call my lawyer’.”

It is unclear whether the altercation will be shown on the reunion show and is scheduled to air on Sunday, June 20th at 10pm on VH1.

For the first time since the NBA playoffs, Lebron James sat down to speak to the media, this time to CNN’s Larry King. Although the discussion topics haven’t been revealed, one would have to guess his impending free agency, which begins July 1st, had to be at the top of the list. James leads the list of all-star caliber free agents which also includes Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, Amare Stoudemire, Joe Johnson and Carlos Boozer among others.

The segment is scheduled to air this Friday, June 4th at 9pm as part of CNN’s 25th Anniversary celebration.

After declaring his retirement, it appears Allen Iverson has had a change of heart. Iverson notified the Philadelphia 76ers that he will in fact accept their contract offer and re-join the team where he was once the marquee player. According to ESPN:

If Iverson received the pro-rated veterans minimum, the deal would be worth $1,029,794. He could get the full veterans’ minimum of $1,306,455 if the Sixers signed him with the mid-level or $1.99 million contract exception.

“In light of the recent injury to Lou Williams, which will sideline him for close to eight weeks, we felt that Allen was the best available free agent guard to help us at this time,” team president Ed Stefanski said

Iverson has been traded around the league several times in recent years including stints in Denver, Detroit and most recently, Memphis.
